2012 is over, lets look to 2013

SMASH

Last night I got the chnce to go to a screening of the new musical tv show "Smash" at the Grove Theatre in LA hosted by NBC and KISS FM.

The show follows two writers and two actresses in there quest to stage a Broadway show about Marilyn Monroe.

The cast of characters is impressive from both the stage and screen worlds. There's a lot of talent to go around Megan Hilty and Katherine McPhee are the dueling Marilyn's. Debra Messing and Chrisin Borle are the writers of the Marilyn musical. Brian D'arcy plays Debra's husband. Jack Davenport plays the shows Director and Anjelica Huston plts the Producer.

The pilot started off a little slow. Yet the show redeems itself towards the ending. It's worth sitting through all the character development.

I enjoyed watching both girls and the struggle of auditioning, rejection and everything else that comes with following dreams.

I truly hope the show is a success because it looks like a lot of fun.
